Product Application：

SLM10 is a PVDC resin copolymer of vinylidene chloride and methyl acrylate (VDC/MA). 

It can be coextruded with other substrates into multilayer barrier films by casting or blowing method. The films have superior performance at moisture and oxygen barrier and are mainly used for fresh meat packaging and cheese product.

Packaging, storage and transportation:

 It should be lightly loaded and unloaded during transportation. It is strictly prohibited to prevent collision, avoid rain, exposure and pollution. The product should be stored in a ventilated, dry and clean warehouse, and heavy pressure is strictly prohibited.

Typical Product Property Data:

(1) Five-layer barrier films: lamination structure PE/EVA/SLM10/EVA/PE; The film thickness is 55 um, while the thickness of PVDC layer is 6-8 um.

(2) Heat Shrinkage condition: temperature 85°C; Duration: 5 seconds.

Processing:
Setting Processing Temperature: SLM10 is a heat-sensitive resin. it will block the flowing channel and causethe machine break down if the residence time takes too long. The machine needs to be dismantled to cleanup before restart. Thermal degradation during melt processing will release hydrogen chloride (HCL) gas.

It is essential that:
(1) Regarding construction materials for the machine, we recommend that the parts in contact with the meltPVDC have high corrosion resistance and contain no catalytic materials, i.e. those made of high Ni alloys,
(2) The residence time is minimized.
